PYUSD is what a stablecoin looks like when it's built for regulators first and DeFi second. PayPal USD is issued not by PayPal directly but by Paxos Trust Company, a New York–chartered trust supervised by NYDFS, with reserves held in dollar deposits, U.S. Treasuries, and equivalents, attested monthly. The Ethereum deployment lives at 0x6c3ea9036406852006290770bedfcaba0e23a0e8, where HostDeFi's September 16, 2026 snapshot records roughly $100 million of tracked pool liquidity and $11 million of daily on-chain volume — modest next to USDC or USDT, in keeping with a coin whose primary life is inside PayPal and Venmo balances rather than on DEXes.
Read the contract powers through the regulated-issuer lens or you'll misread them as red flags. PYUSD's contract can mint (against dollars in), burn (against dollars out), pause transfers entirely, and freeze or even wipe balances at specific addresses under Paxos's asset-protection role. On an anonymous token, that list is a rug in waiting; here it is the legally mandated toolkit of a New York trust company, and NYDFS supervision is precisely the reason those powers exist. The trade you make holding PYUSD is explicit: maximum issuer accountability, in exchange for maximum issuer control.
The most useful thing this page can tell you about Reyayu is that its numbers do not add up, and that you should treat that as the finding rather than a gap in it. When HostDeFi captured RYY on August 19, 2026, the token was roughly one day old — and the venue data attached to it claimed about $2.26 billion in pool liquidity and $3.48 billion in daily volume, while reporting no market capitalization and no holder count at all. A day-old token with more claimed depth than most top-fifty assets, and nothing else on the books, is not a growth story. It is the signature of inflated venue-reported figures: self-dealt volume and reserve numbers a listing API repeats without judging.
Be equally clear about what this page has not checked. Our Base-chain read covers market structure only — it has not assessed this contract's mint controls, owner privileges, transfer taxes, or sell-side behavior, which is exactly where fresh EVM tokens hide their traps. The B grade shown here scores the market-shape inputs the snapshot carried; it is not a contract audit, and on a token like this the contract is the entire question.
By tracked market cap: PYUSD (Ethereum) measures — and RYY (Base) measures — — dated snapshots, not a live feed.
On the contract checks we publish: PYUSD (Ethereum) grades B and RYY (Base) grades B. A grade is a structural check on the contract, not a promise about the asset.
Between 2026-09-08 and 2026-09-17T20:24:07, the measured snapshots show PYUSD at +0.33% and RYY at 0.00%.

The grade column is the one CMC's compare page cannot print — our grade is computed from the contract itself (mint/freeze authority, liquidity, holder concentration). Changes are measured over the shared window stated on the chart, 2026-09-08→2026-09-17T20:24:07; a token with fewer measured points measures a shorter span inside it.
